I hope you're doing well. Here's an update on what happened during Q1 at Lume.
Also, I'm changing the format of our investor updates moving forward to deliver more concise and impactful summaries every quarter.
Top Q1 Highlights:
Over the past 3 months, we have:
- Ran a N=70 Beta testing study to understand the tolerability of sweat generation and the UX of continuous hormone tracking - video summary here.
- Welcomed our new Lead Engineer, Jake Matlick (photo below), to Lume! He brings nearly 15 years of Apple engineering experience and is already driving progress across all aspects of the product.
- Moved into a new office at 2131 Folsom Street to have more space for prototyping.
- Transitioned to custom, mass-manufacturable alternatives for our prototype
- Achieved linearity for cortisol measurement in the physiological ranges and reached our target Limit of Detection for cortisol (1ng/ml)
- Ran 4 events (Equinox for JPM, SVB, Soul Cycle) 1500+ RSVPS
- Grew our waitlist from 2.5k to 5.4k+ (116% growth)
- Grew our community to 10,000 followers across all platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) - marketing summary here.
- Raised $1.5M - a SAFE with an $18M Cap (welcome to our new investors: Scrum VC, Supermoon Capital, Gaingels, CRV, and a great group of angels)
- Attended and won a pitch competition at the ViVE conference.
Coming up in Q2:
- Hosting a Demo Day on April 24 to show our latest integrated prototypes - (if you're in town and want to join, let me know!)
- Updating our app to include a multimodal model.
